World’s biggest scale model in series available now !

WSI Models BV has developed the PTC model crane (Platform Twinring Containerized), the biggest crane in the world, in close cooperation with Mammoet Holding B.V. The PTC crane model is the biggest scale model in the world that has been produced in series and weighs 26 kilos. The new model is a replica of the Mammoet PTC crane and has a height of 1.92 meters (scale 1:50). Included are a certificate, a dvd with “the making off” and a elaborate manual.

The real PTC is deployed particularly in the offshore industry, in power plants and the petrochemical industry, that is where the really heavy loads have to be lifted. PTC is a practical crane because the crane is transported easily in containers. So transportation by ship, rail and road is possible. The capacity of the real PTC is 1,600 tons. Mammoet has four PTC in its fleet.
